How to Use Vaults

Overview

This document provides comprehensive instructions for using Vaults on the Axel Lending Platform. Vaults allow lenders to create automated lending pools and borrowers to take loans against collateral. Each section describes navigation paths and button interactions to perform key actions.


1. Creating a Vault (As Lender)

🧭 Navigation: Vaults β†’ Manage Vaults

  1. Click "Create New Vault" button (top of manage page)

  2. Fill in vault details:

    • Loan Token: Select token to lend (eUSDC, PLSX, AXEL, HEX, etc.)

    • Initial Deposit: Amount to deposit initially

    • Interest Rate: Annual interest rate

    • Loan Duration: Min/Max loan duration (1-365 days)

    • Collateral Tokens: Up to 3 accepted collateral types

    • Collateral Ratios: Minimum collateral ratio for each token

    • Liquidation Thresholds: Liquidation trigger point

  3. Click "Create Vault" to submit

  4. Approve token allowance if prompted

  5. Confirm transaction in wallet

  6. Pay vault creation fee

βœ… Result: Your vault is created and appears in "Manage Vaults" tab. Borrowers can now take loans from your vault.


2. Depositing Funds to Vault (As Lender)

  1. Find your vault in "Manage Vaults" tab

  2. Click "Deposit Funds" button on your vault card

  3. Enter deposit amount

  4. Click "Deposit" to submit

  5. Approve token allowance if prompted

  6. Confirm transaction in wallet

βœ… Result: Funds are added to your vault, increasing available lending capital.


3. Withdrawing Funds from Vault (As Lender)

  1. Find your vault in "Manage Vaults" tab

  2. Click "Withdraw" button on your vault card

  3. Choose withdrawal type:

    • Loan Token Withdrawal: Withdraw your deposited loan tokens

    • Custom Token Withdrawal: Withdraw other tokens (fees, liquidated collateral)

  4. Enter withdrawal amount

  5. Click "Withdraw" to submit

  6. Confirm transaction in wallet

βœ… Result: Requested tokens are transferred to your wallet.


4. Managing Vault Settings (As Lender)

Add Collateral Token:

  1. Click "Add Collateral" button on your vault card

  2. Select new collateral token

  3. Set collateral ratio and liquidation threshold

  4. Click "Add Collateral Token"

  5. Confirm transaction in wallet

Deactivate/Reactivate Vault:

  1. Click "Deactivate Vault" to stop new loans

  2. Click "Reactivate Vault" to resume lending

  3. Confirm transaction in wallet

Copy Vault Link:

  1. Click "Copy Link" button to share your vault URL

  2. Link is copied to clipboard for sharing

Share Vault on X (Twitter):

  1. Click the "X" icon button on your vault card

  2. This opens X (Twitter) with a pre-filled tweet about your vault

  3. Customize the tweet message if desired

  4. Post to share your vault with the community

βœ… Result: Vault settings are updated according to your changes, and you can promote your vault on social media.


5. Taking a Loan from Vault (As Borrower)

🧭 Navigation: Vaults β†’ Browse Vaults

  1. Browse available vaults in "Browse Vaults" tab

  2. Use filters to find suitable vaults:

    • Loan Token: Filter by desired loan token

    • Collateral Token: Filter by your available collateral

    • Duration: Filter by loan duration range

  3. Click "Take Loan" button on desired vault

  4. Fill in loan details:

    • Loan Amount: Amount you want to borrow

    • Collateral Token: Choose from vault's accepted collateral

    • Collateral Amount: Required collateral (auto-calculated)

    • Loan Duration: Duration within vault's range

  5. Review loan terms and liquidation risk

  6. Click "Take Loan" to submit

  7. Approve collateral token allowance if prompted

  8. Confirm transaction in wallet

βœ… Result: Loan is created, collateral is locked, and loan tokens are sent to your wallet. You can now visit the My Loans section to track your active borrowing positions.


6. Managing Active Loans (As Borrower)

Add More Collateral:

  1. Navigate to My Loans section

  2. Find your active loan in the loans table

  3. Click "Add Collateral" button

  4. Enter additional collateral amount

  5. Click "Add Collateral" to submit

Repay Loan:

  1. Navigate to My Loans section

  2. Find your active loan in the loans table

  3. Click "Repay Loan" button

  4. Approve token allowance if prompted

  5. Confirm transaction in wallet

βœ… Result: Collateral is increased or loan is repaid and collateral is returned. All your borrowing activity is tracked in My Loans.


7. Navigating Vault Information

  • Loan Token & APY: Shows lending token and annual percentage yield

  • Available/Total: Shows available funds vs total deposited

  • Duration Range: Minimum and maximum loan duration

  • Accepted Collateral: List of collateral tokens and ratios

  • Collateral Slots: Shows how many collateral types are configured (X/3)

  • Status: Active/Inactive vault status
